BUS STOP CLUB

To volunteer, you are required to complete a background check. Contact us today and we will provide you with the necessary information to get started.
Sibling Site volunteer
Each month our 5-11 year old junior members meet at a local YMCA. Although we have a staff member lead the children in fun, therapeutic type activities, we are in need of volunteers to help with supervising the children and with handing out the activities. The children meet monthly for about 90 minutes a session. Please contact us if you’re interested.
Teen Group Volunteers
Our 12 to 15 year olds meet monthly at different locations throughout the Capital District. They may gather at the local pizza shop for a session or head to Hannaford’s kitchen to cook something up while also having opportunities to listen and speak with each other and staff about worries and wins. There are also occasions when the Teens head out on a special event such as a bus trip to NYC. Again, we need volunteers to assist with supervision and handing out materials with the Teens too! If this sounds fun to you, reach out.
Fundraising Volunteer
Our fundraising events are crucial. We hold two large fundraisers, our Annual Golf Tournament that takes place in each fall and Annual Gala Event each Spring. The funds raised through these events directly impact the programs and services we’re able to provide, touching the lives of those who need it most. But we can’t do it alone—that’s where you come in.
We seek volunteers that will assist with reaching out to potential sponsors and donors and to help obtain auction items. Volunteering with us is more than just lending a hand—it’s an opportunity to get involved in something meaningful, meet like-minded individuals, and see firsthand the impact you’re helping to create. If this sounds like you, please reach out.
Site Visitors
The children enjoy having visitors “perform” or speak at sibling sessions. For example, we have had magicians, art therapists, dog therapists, authors, and music therapists visit our sites and share an activity or “performance” for our 5 to 11 year old members at our Junior Sibling Sessions.
If this sounds like something you’re interested in, please reach out.
